Playback singer Sonu Nigam‘s mother Shobha Nigam, passed away today after battling with prolonged illness.
According to sources, she was under heavy medications and was battling terminal liver cancer. The singer was extremely close to her mother and he left no stone unturned in giving her best medical facilities.
Apparently, last year Sonu had even booked a chartered plane to visit Bangalore for Ayurvedic treatment after his mother was diagnosed with the disease.
