Lana Del Rey Slams Lady Gaga In Upcoming Song

Lana Del Rey has lately been struck with a series of very unfortunate song leaks from her forthcoming sophomore album, which includes the haunting “Black Beauty.” However, for now, you might want to shelve your thoughts on the moral implications of a song leak, because another of Del Rey’s tracks has surfaced, and the lyrics are very, very explicit.
Although “So Legit” is so slow and lolling that it makes us want to put our heads down and pass out into lala land, the lyrics keep us awake. Here’s an example of some of the more vitriolic words Del Rey had to say about one-time friend Stefani Germanotta (aka Lady Gaga):

“You’re looking like a man, you’re talking like a baby / How the fuck is your song in a Coke
commercial, crazy?”
And, “What happened to Brooklyn, what happened to our scene, baby? / Have we all gone
Gaga crazy? / Remember when the streets used to be dangerous and we were born bad we
were born bad?”
And, “Stefani, you suck, I know you’re selling twenty million / Wish they could have seen you when we booed you off in Williamsburg / You’re hurt, I know my words don’t hurt, yeah”
Del Rey and Lady Gaga apparently used to share the same manager (Bob Leone), but, at one point, had a falling out. Although it’s not clear exactly when the tracked was penned or recorded, it’s probably safe to assume that it isn’t a demo intended for a future track. Maybe Del Rey one day decide to channel all her negative energy into creativity and do a bit of experimentation… We’ll have to wait and see how the drama unfolds on this one.
