Britney Spears is on a roll, and she’s only picking up momentum. She just kicked off her Femme Fatale tour with Nicki Minaj to better reviews than she’s had in years, and on Wednesday she debuted her video for “I Wanna Go,” the third single off her latest album. And she looks good.
Chris Marrs Piliero directed the clip, which was shot in Los Angeles and debuts just in time to make the deadline for MTV VMA consideration.
The video opens with a press conference in which Britney drops our favorite “Half-Baked” quote after a reporter suggests that she hates puppies. Outside, Brit feels up a fan, flashes a kid, gets frisked by a hot cop, and takes aim at invasive paparazzi, knocking them out with her microphone in a somewhat heavy-handed metaphor.
Frankly, we love it.
