Everything she touches turns into gold. Selena Gomez not only has the highest number of followers on Instagram but she is also the most valuable person on the social networking site. Everything she wears is sold out immediately.
According to a report released by Alison Bringe, company’s chief marketing officer. Selena’s Instagram post is worth 18 times more than Puma’s official account post.
“Some of Selena’s posts equaled to nearly $3.5 million in Media impact value per post, whereas Puma’s best performing only reached $195K” said Alison.
Selena released her first design for Puma back in April and it was sold out immediately. Puma in past have worked with many big names like Kylie Jenner, The Weeknd but that was nothing compared to the success which they got from Rihanna’s fenty×puma collection.
Gomez posted a picture posing in black Puma sports bra, tights, and sneakers and as expected the picture went viral within seconds making people berserk. It bagged almost 8 million likes and thousands of comments.
As we all know Selena had a kidney transplant few months ago so a major part of her earning from this Puma campaign will go to the Alliance for Lupus research.
Talking about her partnership with Puma she said the goal is to empower women and to make them feel strong. “It’s strong – I never forgot to say the word ‘strong.’ The whole point of my life is for any women who dresses up in athletic wear to feel strong and beautiful.” She said.
“The whole point is to take the focus away from me. “It’s about what I believe in and what I chose to do with the platform I’m given.” She further added.
