South Korean pop star Psy has yet to see any of the profits from his global smash hit single Gangnam Style as he is still waiting for the royalties to roll in.
The singer/rapper released the track in July, 2012 and it quickly became an international sensation, topping the singles charts in more than 30 countries, while the video became the first ever clip to rack up a billion views on YouTube.com.
However, Psy insists he hasn’t yet made any money out of the monster track, which was released through Universal Republic Records.
He tells Britain’s Kiss Fm radio station, “Collecting money from more than 100 countries with iTunes and publishing and everything else takes a long time. I’m still waiting right now. Universal! Universal! I’m still waiting!”
