Miley Cyrus Covers Outkast’s ‘Hey Ya’ in Concert
During her stop in Washington for her Bangerz tour, Miley Cyrus surprised fans at the Tacoma Dome with a country rework of Outkast‘s 2003 hit, “Hey Ya,” last Sunday.
In the video, the 21-year-old — donning an oversized t-shirt of her face — spun the hip-hop duo’s track into a country version by blending her husky vocals over twangy guitar riffs. During the interactive verse, the “We Can’t Stop” singer, of course, twerked it “like a polaroid picture.”
During Miley’s stop in Los Angeles on Saturday night, she once again pulled off “Hey Ya,” so perhaps it will be a permanent addition to her setlist.
The pop superstar kicked off her 38-date Bangerz tour on February 14, which made headlines thanks to her racy outfits and performances filled with sexual innuendos. Click here for tickets and information.
