Katy Perry Announces New Album

This weekend, Katy Perry not-so-subtly revealed the title of her long-awaited follow-up to Teenage Dream: PRISM.

The album is apparently due October 22, 2013 — this according to the gigantic gold truck that was spotted tooling around Los Angeles, as well an Instagram confirmation from Perry’s longtime stylist and BFF Johnny Wujek:

Perry hasn’t revealed too much about the new tunes, although she has said that it’s going to be darker than anything she’s released thus far. Perry has collaborated with many of the same producers and songwriters who worked on her sophomore album Teenage Dream, including Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Bonnie McKee, Greg Wells, and Sia.
